Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Kotoru website, web application, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be able to enter into a binding agreement in your location. You are responsible for accurate account information, safeguarding access to your email and devices, and activity under your account. Do not use Kotoru in a way that is unlawful, abusive, harmful, or interferes with the Service.
Your content
You keep ownership of material you submit. You grant Kotoru only the limited rights needed to process that material and provide features you request. You must have the right to use the content you submit. Do not submit material that violates another person’s rights or applicable law.
Free use and limits
Guest and free-account features may have capture, storage, processing, or other limits. Limits may change as the Service develops. We may prevent attempts to evade limits or misuse the Service.
Kotoru Pro
Paid plans renew automatically for the billing period shown at checkout until canceled. Prices, currency, taxes, renewal timing, trial terms, and included features are shown before purchase. You can cancel future renewals through the billing-management link in Kotoru or the store that processed your purchase. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period unless applicable law requires otherwise. Refunds are handled under the policy shown by the payment processor or app store and any rights provided by law.
Third-party services
Kotoru uses service providers for functions such as account sync, payments, subscriptions, analytics, and optional transcription. Their terms may also apply when you use those functions. Kotoru is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.
Availability and changes
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Features may change, pause, or end. To the extent permitted by law, Kotoru disclaims implied warranties and is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, or loss of opportunity. Kotoru’s aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the amount you paid Kotoru for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Termination
You may stop using Kotoru at any time. We may suspend or end access for material violations, security risks, abuse, legal requirements, or discontinuation of the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms. Material changes will be identified by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-product notice. Questions about these terms can be sent through the support contact provided inside the Kotoru app.
